A good week, actually, although I have only had 2 alcohol-free days but on 90% of the other days I only had one or two drinks, so that shows remarkable restraint. In terms of sabotaging myself and feeling remorseful I haven't felt that at all and I've been designated driver twice so, all-in-all, I have been successful. Here are my scores: 1)Avoid unacceptable outbursts, arguments & melt-downs: A, 2) Designated driver: B, 3) Alcohol-free days: B. Therefore, I give myself the following Grade:B

Between Ali and myself, we have agreed that I wouldn’t automatically fail her if she did drink over Xmas as long as she didn’t let herself down. I am satisfied that she has been exemplary over Xmas and deserves a pass.

As it’s Christmas my referee and I have agreed that if I allow myself to drink freely at events and not have any unpleasant scenes with family, that my referee will not automatically fail me for not avidly following every part of this commitment. I have had a lovely time - and have put on 4lbs in Weight - and have not had any unacceptable outbursts, melt-downs or arguments with my sister, Mum or Dad. Therefore, on this occasion I give myself the following Grade: B+

Well done Ali, that’s such an improvement on last week. I’m delighted that you had a lovely remorse-free day with Karen yesterday. Just remember, when you’re with the family, to breathe and pause before saying anything. Have a lovely Xmas. Xx

A much better week, although I am feeling a bit "grey" still. I have been designated driver most times we've been out in social situations, which I feel good about. I wonder whether how I'm feeling is partly to do with Terry and myself not feeling physically brilliant still, after our bouts of germs, and feeling weird and displaced since I started working from home. Anyway, I took my Referee's advice and am trying not to be too hard on myself. Here are my results this week: 1) Cutting down on the amount I drink socially - and not letting myself down: B, 2) Designated Driver: A, 3)Alcohol-free Days in a Week: B. Therefore, I give myself the following grade: B+
