I'm SO proud of you Ali. You really have shown a major strength in how you have dealt with your family this week. This week work on being kinder yourself. You've achieved SO much - live a little. Well done. X

So, here's the thing: My commitment is to avoid unacceptable outbursts, arguments and melt-downs and unkind words to family and friends, which, through the use of a fantastic Meditation App, called Daily Calm, I have actually achieved and am so proud of myself. However, when I look at the component parts of my commitment, I'm not really very good with some of the aspects. So I actually seem to have 2 commitments going on in one.
Analysis of the week shows that I have only had 2 social days and I had no drink on the one day, and was designated driver, but I went a bit bananas on the 2nd day but was mindful of my situation. I have only had 2 alcohol-free days but I did discover alcohol-free Freixenet - which was great. Maybe it's not so bad then. Here are my scores for the week:
Here are my scores:
1) Cutting down on the amount I drink socially: C, 2) Designated driver: B, 3) Track the amount of alcohol I drink: F!, 4) Have 3 alcohol-free days a week: B However, taking in to account my excellent week of kindness I can award myself an addition grade of: A. Therefore, I award myself the following Grade: C
January 20 to January 27

From what I have seen, you may have started to turn a very important corner in identifying what you need to do when you feel the urge to blow-up. Pausing, when you get that sudden rage feeling, is simple but highly effective. Well done Ali

While I probably haven't been that good on the alcohol stakes this week, I have DEFINITELY avoided getting into a scrape, melt-down or argument with anyone. In fact, I am learning to take a pause and check myself when I feel a slight irritation, frustration or "Grr Moment" coming on and I'm actually really proud of myself. I could do better on reducing my alcohol intake over the weekend but I don't feel remorseful at all today.
So, here are my scores for this report:
1) Avoid unacceptable outbursts, arguments or melt-downs due to alcohol: A++, 2) Designated driver: C, 3) Alcohol-free Days: C. Therefore, I give myself the following Grade: B
January 13 to January 20

Well done Ali. I realise your week has been a bit disrupted with your holiday and that nasty cold but keep going and try to relax and breathe when you feel that red mist rising.

I have found that being poorly has curbed my desire to drink alcohol. I spent a couple of hours with my family yesterday and managed to remain very steady with them, even though there was much angst and frustration within my parents but I managed to stay very kind and measured with them. I also was the designated driver so that’s another tick in the box for success this week.
Here are my scores:
1) Avoid unacceptable outbursts, arguments or melt-downs due to alcohol: A, 2) Designated driver: A, 3) Alcohol-free Days: C. Therefore, I give myself the following Grade: B+

Very proud of you. Keep it up and I hope your cold doesn’t spoil the rest of your break. Don’t worry about being ill for your gig (yes, I DO know you very well🥰). It’s 11 days away! Remember that you can’t control what happens when it comes to germs. Xx
