no facebook during the week

Week 12 of 12
Robbybox commits to:
completely abstaining from Facebook between 12:00AM Monday and 12:00AM Saturday. No navigating to the website, no clicking fb links other people send me. If I find a browser open to facebook on my comp, the only thing I am allowed to do is close it. (I may, however, LOOK, if someone wants to show me something on another computer).
Any deviation from these rules = an infraction. For every week I succeed, I deserve a SERIOUS treat of some kind... TBD

| Still poifect. On Mondays I'm sometimes aware of a mild desire to adjust my status or see if a comment I made got replies, but I just set that aside. It never eats at me or tempts me. | |

| This one is still a piece of cake to maintain. Sometimes a bother, but never something I have think twice about. Furthermore, I think it's made me a healthier person across the board. Initially I wasted as much time on the internet as ever, just on OTHER sites. Over time though, the discipline has crept into my general internet habits. A number of other things have helped, like cutting back on the hobbies I browsed most online, and refreshing my focus on my thesis, but having this little token keystone of self-control and structure in place has made all the difference. I remember (and the fact that it is a MEMORY is amazing) how regularly I was swept away by the web, submerged and at the mercy of the waves. Totally surrendering my day and all its precious hours to whatever came up next. Wow. I can't believe how much of that I did. | |
