| 13/05 - Forfeitures in the US at a record high level, for the second month in a row. 342,038 homes were foreclosed. This marks a 32% rise in foreclosures from last year at this time, but only a very slight increase since last month. | |

| 11/05- Both Merkel and Sarkozy were present at an event in Berlin for the Christian Democratic party, and used the event to restate their position on Turkey. Merkel agreed w/ Sarkozy in that she's willing to work with Turkey but we can't just let everybody in to the EU. Sarkozy said how much he admires Germany and values the German-French friendship. | |

| 10/05 - Berlusconi spoke and announced that it will be not his government's position to let immigrants to the country. The only ones he'll let in are the ones seeking political asylum. While it may have been the past administration (the left were in power then) vision to have an Italy with many ethnicities, it is ours to have an italy that only accepts foreigners seeking political asylum. | |

| 08/05 - Pope Benedict the 16th went to the middle east, visited some holy grounds, showed his respect for the Islamic religion and saying how religious tolerance is a natural human right for everybody (having offended both the Jews and the Muslims in the past). He also said the Church will do what it can to cooperate in the talks between Israel and Palestine. | |
