Been going strong since starting my commitment. Was sick the week of December 10th, took the weekend off as a preventative measure but still had had to skip another 3 or so days that week. Leveled up from 4 miles a day to 5 on Dec 20th (the day before leaving for Christmas vacation), and maintained my new distance while on break. Managed to do my full run on 4 out of 11 vacation days, minor runs on 2 days, and extensive and deliberate walking on other days throughout. Factors that resulted in missed runs were travel days (and family days like Christmas), weather in Chicago (Uncle Jeff dissuaded me from jogging in the slush) and the mental and physical exhaustion of spending so much time with family. To date, I've lost 10lbs since starting this commitment, and I look and feel almost my best ever. I'm getting tons of compliments and feeling terrific about my health and attractiveness. |
