Pages uploaded.
Goddamnit. Why did I set such an aggressive schedule? Sloane's bday this week. Then Anjulie in town visiting the week after. Also, work is going terribly. And I have no idea where this script is going. And it feels like as soon as I finish it, if I do, I'll have to start right over to get it into decently tight shape.
Ughhhhh.
10 pages the past two weeks was very hard. No idea how I'll get 15 pages the next 4 weeks. Fuck. |

Alright, weird week since Matt has been in town since Wednesday - SEVERELY hampering my productivity. But, since I get 72 hours from the time my "report" is due, I was able to finish the necessary amount of pages today (before midnight, when I would automatically lose the money for not reporting in time). But now, I've got to get immediately back to work on the next 10 pages. Also, a few small notes:
- I wrote pages 10-14 on the computer like I did the first 1-10. However since we spent a lot of time at the beach this weekend, I wrote pages 15-20 by hand, on paper. Which I actually prefer. But in the spirit of keeping things consistent and polished, I plan on transcribing them to PDF this week while I get to work on pages 20-30.
- I realized that I had made two different folders, and for my pages 5-10 last week, I had only uploaded the PDF to one folder, which isn't shared with you. So, I assume you "approved" my goal for last week based on the fact that I reported on here that I had been successful and were going by the honor system - which I very much appreciate. That said, the biggest motivator for me is fear of consequences. So, if possible, it would be awesome if you could check that the requisite number of pages are actually in the Dropbox folder that I shared with you before "approving" me for the week. That way, if I lie or forget to upload the pages, you can call me out of my bullshit.
On that above point, I realize that I am asking a lot of you and you aren't really getting compensated for the work that you do in managing these projects. So, absolutely no worries if you don't have time or energy to do that. I just don't want to let myself get lazy and start taking advantage of that. Either way, I owe you a lot for doing all this, and want you to know that whenever you are ready and/or have time to take a trip out here to PR, that I am buying your flights. It's the least I can do, and this is not up for debate. And if you don't get around to visiting in the next several months, then you and I are going out for a very fancy steak (or whatever you choose) dinner when I'm in town in April or May.
Love you brotha, and appreciate all your help/support. |
