Wow, I had no idea what kind of impact twitter chats would have. I went from 5-10 new followers per week to 10-15 new followers per day! |

I think one of the biggest parts of this is the online community. That and knowing the art of sales and digital marketing.
In my full time job, sometimes a direct question is necessary, especially when you're speaking on the phone and especially face to face.
Online business isn't easy. You could go to shopify, make a store, and set up Oberlu or whatever, but if all you're doing is choosing cheap items from AliExpress, your digital marketing is going to take a long time, because nobody's going to refer your site to anyone else if your products suck.
As with anything, you have to put in the creativity and time and come up with something original. Or, if not your own original, actually reach out to a company or a physical retailer who has a good product and make a pitch if you want to drop ship. I haven't gotten there yet, but I'm understanding how to do it more and more.
I need to improve my pitch. No matter what you do in life, the art of the pitch can help you further your career, whether it's an interview, your own business, or your hobby. Let people hear your enthusiasm. If you don't have enthusiasm or passion or what you're pitching, maybe you have to re-assess what you're doing.
Anyways. Have to perfect my pitch. I've been going to meetups around here in NYC and pitching for my full time. It's helping a lot, but I think I need to study more. It seems like you can't always say the same thing or else people who already heard it will get bored. I had one guy say ah, ok; and turned and went on to the next person -- after he heard me repeat my pitch, verbatim -_- a little embarrassing, but it's an art form: To make it conversational and persuasive and catching and ... what else?
Shaun, any advice? |

I'm glad to see you post here Shaun! Online business is interesting! Looks like I missed a report in my haste! I have phone notifications on but didn't seem to get it this time and was so focused that I missed a report :( |
