Wednesday Blessed by Plum Tree
Star this Commitment
wrkinprogrss commits to:
limiting my recreational reading and mp3 listening as follows, today: OK to work on the private Joy Diet Risk Workspace post or 50 Dance Workspace post on LJ. OK to read as needed to reinstall and test Canon and/or Treo software. I will wait until at least 6:30pm before I do any audiobook listening or any other recreational reading, today, including any other LJ access. I will allow myself to listen to music at any time, but I won't use the mp3 player before 6:30pm.
Until then, I will experiment with doing job work as my main priority, aiming to make progress on items near the top of my priorities list, and to have something useful to ask or report at tomorrow's meeting. If I need a break from work, I can choose from taking a shower, preparing tea or food, doing something related to the 50 dance or Joy Diet risk-taking, doing some Qi Gong or other gentle exercise, doing a bit of knitting, or making progress with laundry or kitchen. I can also reinstall Treo and/or Canon software, and look at the newer batches of photos, and spend up to 10 minutes moving toward purchase of a camera case/bag. I can register the camera for warranty. Prior to 6:30pm, I will limit further photography to one timed 15-minute break. (I'll put the Treo in my pocket with the buzzer set for the timing, or else one of the kitchen timers.) I will eat vegetable soup, today, and move toward making the soup pan available for cooking the next batch. To support myself in getting a full night's sleep and having time to center and to enjoy being alive before work starts, tomorrow morning, I will not do any recreational reading or audio listening after 10:32pm, tonight. If I use my 9:30pm internet window, I will not listen to any audio after I get up from the computer, whether that's at 10:32pm or sometime in the previous hour. My intent will be to be in bed with the lights out by 11:15pm.
