Monday of Stepping Out Like a Dance... Star this Commitment

wrkinprogrss commits to:
waiting until at least 6:30pm before I do any recreational reading or any audiobook listening, today. I will experiment with viewing job work as my highest priority between now and then.

I will also check how soon I need to do the next load of laundry, today, and I will pick up the book that I requested from the library.

I spend at least 10 minutes, today, on reviewing the tax forms my preparer sent back to me, with the goal of being ready to send her the e-filing authorization forms by end of day tomorrow.

If I need a break from job work, I can do stickk reading &/or commenting with Aase, Qi Gong, journaling (preferably with Joy Diet component), 6-minute rest breaks, a little singing, or brief cartooning or haiku-writing experiments. I can also spend two 6-minute breaks (with a timer on!) experimenting with my new camera.

I will allow myself to listen to music at any time, but I won't use the mp3 player before 6:30pm.

To support myself in getting a full night's sleep, I will not do any recreational reading after 10:32pm, tonight. If I use my 9:30 internet window, I will not listen to any audio after I get up from the computer, whether that's at 10:32pm or sometime in the previous hour. My aim will be to be in bed with the lights out by 11:15pm.

I think my tax work is all done! I am helped in being organized by my preparer being very firm that she must have my information by a certain date if I want her to file the return on time. If I miss her deadline, she would file an extension, which would not be horrible, but it's a point of pride for me that I have always gotten my taxes filed on time. (Sometimes just *barely* on time, but good enough!) My tax preparer is also someone I admire (she is a published science fiction writer and an accomplished martial artist in aikido), so I want her to see me as competent in our dealings!

I really like this: "A failure, but quite a good one." Great insight! Continued work on tax paperwork is making your sound Very Capable and Organized (how many people on this planet put that task off endlessly/don't know how?? - and I would be one of those, if I *had* any tax papers to speak of, so naturally Gazing In Admiration at you for this. ;) Do you have much left to do on the taxes?

Argh--NOT success! After the computer was off, I completely forgot about the part of the goal that said no recreational reading after 10:32pm, and I did quite a bit of library book reading and didn't get the lights out until about 1:10am. So. A failure, but quite a good one.

Reviewed my tax paperwork--well over 10 minutes--and emailed my preparer about two items. Didn't tak 9:30 internet window. Turned audio off around 10:20. Success, I think!
