work on real-world concerns and issues except between 8:00pm and 10:32pm, today. I will limit my fiction consumption as follows:
Before 8:00pm, I will consume fiction only if I listen to it while doing yard work (until the greenwaste bin is full) or while preparing recycling (until the kitchen sink is empty). For other household chores, non-fiction audiobooks are OK any time before 10:32pm. I'll reward myself with 5 minutes of luxurious stretching if I notice and make a note of any feelings or situations that immediately precede any cravings for escape into fiction, at any time when those may occur. Between 8:00pm and 10:32pm, I will consume fiction only if I have done all of the following: - put in at least 30 minutes on the W config project, for work - uploaded my files - submitted my timecard - set up my OOO message for tomorrow - put garbage/recycling/greenwaste out for collection, and - updated my RWE#29 stickk journal with after-comments. From 10:32-11:00pm, I will only prepare for bed or do a little journaling while in bed. I will set the alarm for 5:00am or earlier. I will be in bed with the lights out by 11:00pm.

| Succeeded! Listened to fiction during yard work, only. Listened to non-fic during misc. chores, but not after 10:32pm. Put in an hour on W config work, uploaded my files, submitted my timecard, set up OOO, and put out garbage, greenwaste, and recycling. That took til about 10:25pm, so I only got a few minutes of reading fiction by eye. Was in bed with the lights out by 11:02pm, which I'm counting as just fine, with the alarm set for a little before 5:00am. Didn't sleep immediately, but that's OK. Am going to go back to bed, now that my morning medical adventure is over. | |
