wrkinprogrss commits to:
concentrate on real world concerns and constructive actions until at least 8:00pm, today -- I will not read, watch, write, or listen to fictional works except between 8:00pm and 9:00pm, today, and then only if I have accomplished the following, first:
- Bought bread, - Put soup on to cook, - Assessed laundry needs and at least scheduled when to do the next load of laundry, and - Put the garbage out for morning collection. I also commit to trying to notice any feelings or situations that immediately precede any cravings for escape into fiction, at any time when those may occur. I commit to turning the computer off and starting preparations for bed by 9:32pm, sharp, and I commit to be in bed with the lights out by 10:00pm.

| Soup cooked and cooling. Did rough assessment of laundry, and scheduled some future loads in my calendar. Garbage is out. But it was 9:05 before that was all true. Just listened to three audible non-fic clips. Will be logging off shortly. No fiction consumption at all, today. | |

| Doesn't look like I'm going to have the listed items done by 8:00pm. Guess I'm going to try to do them in time to go to bed on time, and skip fiction. If I have them done by 9:00, I could watch 30minutes of non-fiction DVD before shutting the computer off. OK, time to get going. Bread is bought. Next: wash pan and chopping plate and start cooking soup. | |
