wrkinprogrss commits to:
concentrate on real world concerns and constructive actions until at least 9:30pm, today -- I will not read, watch, write, or listen to fictional works before 9:30pm or after 10:30pm. I also commit to trying to notice any feelings or situations that immediately precede any cravings for escape into fiction, whatever time those may occur. And I commit to be in bed with the lights out by 10:45pm.

| OK, I'm going to call this one a qualified success, too. I didn't read or watch or listen to any fiction except between 9:30 and 10:30pm, as planned, but I did put some brief notes in my journal re a possible story idea that I might write, later on. I didn't notice any fiction cravings--really unusual!--so have nothing to report, yet, on the feelings or situations that precede such cravings, for me. I was in bed with the lights out by 11:00pm, only 15 minutes late! Reasonable bedtime for the second night in a row! | |
