I will take full responsibility over my relationships with my parents, by making sure I am always in control of the circumstances under which I interact with them. I will never live under the same roof with them for even one night I will never put myself in a situation where I may be forced to interact with them longer than I want to (such as over Spring Break). I will never speak with dad on the phone after 4:00, and I will hang up the phone the moment I sense that one of them is drunk.

| Things have gone well so far. I need to be wary in the coming weeks of dad's recent strong insistence that I drive down with him from Berkeley in the new car. This is not a good idea as it will very likely be hugely stressful and open the possibility for another extended diatribe like he has repeatedly engaged in in the past. | |
