allowed myself to buy 100% cocoa Montezuma chocolate, for the health benefits, along with the fact that it's pure cocoa and so bitter that it seems fair to include it in economical healthy eating. similarly, allowed myself to buy Curators Salted Pork Puffs as these were high in protein and only comprised of three ingredients: pork rind, salt, yeast extract.

This seems a good time to mention that I have an open question about what I might call 'borderline' foods, like cheddar coleslaw, which are "ready-made" but which I use as ingredients in other meals, would be a lot of hassle to make at home, and would probably need to be made in large quantities with the risk that some would go off before I was able to use it all up.

I'm not sure exactly how StickK classifies it, but, each Thursday, I'm going to report for the period of up to one week, up to and including the day before (the Wednesday). This is because I won't be certain I was successful for the entirety of the reporting day of Thursday until I wake up the day after (the Friday). In short, each Thursday, I will report for the preceding period of one week, running Thursday to Wednesday.

there isn't room in the "I commit to..." field, but, for clarity:

Sat–Sun ready-made drinks allowance (£3.50):

– is the total allowance for the whole of the Sat–Sun period
– can't be rolled over into the working week or following weekends when it isn't spent.

last journal entry from my preceding Economical Healthy Eating contract (a three-week contract):

success! now to push myself to do the same for the entirety of this pay month!

I was wavering yesterday, fantasising about all sorts of filth I'd eat either between completing this contract period and setting the new one, or by creating additional caveats in the new contract; however, now today's rolled around, and given the clear picture and inspiration that recent intensive work on my budget has given me as to just how much sacrifice is required to get out of debt and save towards important health and investment purchases within any reasonable time frame, plus feeling inspired by the weight I've already lost sticking to this contract, I now intend to set the new, equally stringent contract immediately I've finished this entry.
